Soft light ,muted tones and a continuous spatial flow shape the calm and restrained atmosphere of this Shanghai apartment.Designed by A 3 VISION, the project explores a calmer and more restrained rhythm of urban living. Rather than relying on expressive forms or dramatic gestures, the design focuses on the integration of spatial boundaries and the orchestration of natural light, allowing different functions to connect fluidly within an open yet balanced environment. The original layout was carefully reorganised so that dining, living, reading and relaxation unfold within the same spatial language, creating a more continuous and adaptable everyday experience.
Upon entering, a concealed sliding partition s often s the transition from the outside world, immediately slowing the rhythm of the interior. Custom -built cabinet ry defines the dressing area while integrating bookshelves and a piano corner into a cohesive spatial arrangement, where storage, display and daily use coexist seamlessly. A long communal table becomes another focal point within the apartment, accommodating both work and family interaction.
The living area is organised around a fireplace, where the Lia i gre s ofa and black-stained oak cabinet ry establish a calm and grounded relationship. Open and concealed storage systems are carefully integrated into the same elevation, maintaining spatial clarity while allowing flexibility for daily living.
