Beside the shimmering waves of Chongqing's Jialing River, we have crafted a private residence that slows down time. It embodies the robust spirit of architectural structure while enveloped in the gentle warmth of caramel hues, integrating the design philosophy of "refined naturalism" into every inch of space.
Rejected the ubiquitous flat layout, opting instead for interspersed blocks and exposed structures, lending the space a strong architectural feel. The exposed concrete columns and beams, not deliberately concealed, instead become the visual focal point of the space. The rough texture contrasts sharply with the warm wood veneer, creating a unique tension where cold and warm, hard and soft, collide. The carefully designed door and window openings serve as natural picture frames, framing the river scenery, tree shadows, and indoor views. Every turn around brings a new picture into view.
The entire space is based on earth tones, with caramel shades of varying intensity running throughout, creating a warm and healing atmosphere. From the light oak flooring to the dark walnut cabinet, and then to the caramel-colored fabric sofa, different layers of wood and fabric intertwine in the space, conveying a natural and rustic touch.
There is no excessive decoration, only just the right amount of embellishment. A gracefully stretching green plant, a simple-shaped table lamp, and a richly textured carpet all inject a relaxed atmosphere into the space. Every design element balances aesthetics and practicality. The concealed storage system maintains the cleanliness of the space, and the user-friendly circulation planning makes daily living more smooth, truly achieving "good-looking and easy to live in".
This is not just a physical space, but also an expression of a lifestyle. We hope that residents can enjoy the prosperity and convenience of the city, and at the same time, find relaxation and peacefulness in nature the moment they return home. We have chosen materials with natural textures that become increasingly mellow over time. As the occupants use them, the space will bear the traces of life, becoming a home full of stories.
