Located in the vicinity of one of São Paulo’s main avenues, the JLS project proposes a way of living that articulates materiality, landscape, and curation. The apartment was conceived through a careful understanding of its residents and a clear vision of how architecture, interiors, and design can coexist to create an authentic and singular living experience.

Materiality guides the entire project. From the travertine marble chip flooring to the monolithic yellow bamboo staircase, which contrasts with the large sculpted wooden volume, every choice reveals a precise intention. The natural materials, largely preserved in their raw textures and appearances, reinforce a direct relationship with the origin of matter and with time — a recurring element in the studio’s work.

More than simply a backdrop, the landscape is a structural part of the project. The expansive garden and generous openings create a fluid continuity between interior and exterior, allowing the greenery, light, and sky of Jardim Europa to actively participate in the daily life of the apartment. The architecture is organized around this relationship, dissolving boundaries and expanding the perception of space.

The furniture further deepens this understanding of the project as a narrative. The curation brings together pieces from different origins and languages, always guided by the residents’ personalities and by unconventional choices. Sofas by DeSede and Arflex coexist with an ethnic bar supported by raffia-fringed legs, composing an ensemble that celebrates contrast, freedom, and expression.

SUITE’s signature design runs organically throughout the project. The pieces designed especially for the apartment — such as the rug and the two coffee tables — do not function as complements, but as natural extensions of the architecture. The travertine marble table explores texture in a sensory way, while the Entrelaço table, produced with handwoven silk straw, translates the material research and artisanal gesture that define the studio’s work.

Every detail of the JLS project was conceived with rigor and sensitivity, resulting in a space where architecture, interiors, and design intertwine to create a way of living that is coherent, precise, and deeply connected to the lives of those who inhabit it.
